You’re a recruiter. You have to drink your company’s Kool-Aid. You’re probably pretty good at it too. But that doesn’t mean that your graduate candidates follow suit. In fact, according to Universum Global, there are specific companies in specific industries that graduates prefer this year. And unless you’re a Kool-Aid-yielding master, it might not be yours.

Why this matters

Hiring graduates has great perks. For instance, they’re comparatively cheap to employ. Being newbies in the market, most graduates start with bottom-end salaries. They’re also fresh full of ideas and up-to-date skills, they’re easy to mould and they're quick to learn. Not to mention the cushy tax kick-backs you get from SARS for hiring younger staff.
